Well the drama was never to end actually, Sid had a rotten luck. And it rubbed off everywhere, every time. But why me??!! Well never mind..
With the benefit of hindsight I hadn't allowed him to plan out a thing. I had the places listed, the flight booked (woof that was an experience..), the bike fully fed..it was a great plan!
We went to shop and somehow the hunky dude got a pair of jeans for himself, and i got one too. I usually perspire at the prospect of buying a jeans. He picked up and tried each and every one of them, just easy. I, well, on the other hand picked a 32, then a 36, but settled for 34. The complex scenarios of keeping in mind the relative shrinkage of the waist and the unseemly burgeoning of the thighs were making matters a bit dicy and that's when Sid came in handy. As easy as a flick he chose one and i took it!
That was going to be the only highlight of the day though.
A lot of time had gone by, and we barely managed lunch. After the ever faithful hyderabadi Biryani, which never disappoints, we came back to my room. Though the time was comfortably on our side, i had a premonition of a disaster. Sid was known for his great slumbers, statuette-naps. And he was falling asleep, oh my dear, my heart yelped, but to no avail.
The eagle had landed, and now i was in a fix. This demoniac creature continued to snore through every tick, father time laughing at my plight ticked only more gracefully. Six o clock??! Sid ..sid..SID!!!!!
And oh yes, it was the run against time and it seemed reversed Ramayana. I was racing on my Activa(not even an equivalent Pushpakyana..) taking Ravana himself to far away airport, which might as well been beyond Lanka...
And Jai Hanumaan it was, when his flight took off i realised what it meant by a quantum of solace...
